Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. Growing up, she listened to classical music and old boleros. She also listened to classic romantic ballads, as well as traditional ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos, as well as operas and other dramatic styles. Ana started learning how to sing as well as play musical instruments from an early age, along with her mother. The singer received more formal vocal instruction when she was 16 years old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The singer continued her education in the field of music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. She has been involved in many local organizations, both as an instructor and performer because she is passionate about the arts and music. Ana was also part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching in The Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her performance of Latin American traditional songs, she can instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music in the present.
