Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She grew up listening to classical, old boleros and traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos as well as operas and other dramatic types. Her mother taught her to sing, and she began intensifying her vocal instruction under Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera Tenor. The singer continued her education in the field of music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. After relocating in The United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current location in the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion for music, art, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill an interest, especially in the younger generations and keep the tradition in the present.
